please give me suggestions for the designing of this project. ie pile foundation and type of slab. bearing capacity is too low 1.04 tsf. we are discusing abt providing pile fondation and for slab , post tensioning or waffle slab. is it safe for 44ft by 46ft span? i have uploaded the plan. Respected Engineers! what is the purpose of providing strap beam over combined footing? (someone told me that in this way we can decrease the amount of top steel on combined footing) how i can design it using safe? either have to assign a beam property or strap having thickness combine footing + strap beam.

Respected Engineers. while doing P-Delta analysis it gives two options: a- non-iterative based on mass b-Iterative-Based on load combinations what is the difference between them and use of them? how to calculate iterations and which load combination we use when using 2nd option?

Respected engineers! in Etabs while defining slab it asks to select shell, plate and membrane. what is the diffrence between them and when and in which type of slabs we will use these?

we use unfactored load in determining the area of footing. but if we will check it on ultimate combo then it will surely show greater pressure then net bearing capacity. should i check it only at service combo?

Dear frnd. u first have to decide ur subject ie structure, management, water resource etc. then try to find a job related to ur field. most of the students nowadays prefer planning and construction management . unfortunately solid waste management is v rare in Pakistan. in start u will get good salary but later u will face difficulties in growing and switching of job. As a freshee now u can built career in any field but later it will be difficult. -
Respected Engineers! what is the procedure to check soil pressure on safe and by using which combination. what is the procedure to pass soil pressure?
