  3. Yes sir i also meant the same that Tb cant b used in static method. Whereas i also got it clear that for drift the limit of 1. 3 or 1. 4 T shudnt b considered. Thnx
  4. also there isnt any detail abt max iteration item and relative tolerance-displacements.p-delta combos are only abt wind load. wat abt seismic combos.
  5. dear uzair i had chekd ur attachment regarding p-delta analysis parameters.to some extent it is informative but in that it is not mentioned that for p-delta what load combinations we shud take. instead it is referred to chek download ETABS VERSION 7 MANUAL but in that manual too i was unable to find the required load combos n scale factors.that was for ur kind info. Regards
  6. First Thanx 4reply.i thought Tb is calculated by computer itself more accurately coz Ta is an approximate method. My query was abt that point of view as to how to see results of either Ta or Tb.To make u n myself correct T is calculated 1.3 times Ta for drift also.see book WIND and Earthquake Resistant Buildings by Taranath Bunglae who is considered an authority
  7. As every1.can any1plz post abt culatating output of T I.e time period in ETABS n under wat method is suitable A or B?

AOA every1 my query is that while using SET ANALYSIS OPTION then in P-DELTA check which option shud b checked i.e ITERATIVE or NON-ITERATIVE? wat is th difference and under wat conditions .ALSO explain to me that we use p-delta analysis when stability co-efficient is not satisfied after determining seismic parameters so how can we check the p-delta option before running analysis.thirdly wat is the criteria of checking the DYNAMIC ANALYSIS TAB? Also in seismic design there r two procedures 1- STATIC 2-DYNAMIC which one to be used n under wat conditions.does it have any connection with the overall height of the structure? lastly y we still use UBC-97 whereas it has been replaced by I.B.C ?.
