I am designing a retaining wall (cantilever) for a basement. I have applied only 2 ft additional depth as surcharge load other than the earth pressure load. The height of the wall is 10 ft. My stability checks are satisfying for foundation width of 6.83 ft (2 ft heel, 9'' stem, 4 ft toe), which i think is very high. What can i do to reduce the dimension of my wall footing?
