Why does Etabs give higher reinforcement ratios ( upto 4%) for floating/pickup columns...Also in details the ratio is at station 1 i.e. start of column. Should i design it using 1% ratio or is there any way??? my column is 15"x15" and is supporting only mumty story load still giving high ratios..
