I found this statement on quora " If the live load is greater than 5 KN/m2 (105 lb/ft2) then 50% of live load is considered in Mass source". It was quoted according to Indian code, but I couldn't find anything related this in ACI. Can anyone explain this ?
and Also should we base P-Delta analysis on Mass or loads. I read CSI details on this, where they mentioned if gravity loads are specified then it is recommended to use iterative. I cannot get firm clarification. kindly explain
