Hello, the foundation is based on the structure loads and soil bearing capacities. If the soil BC is good around 1 to 1.5 TSF, you can provide isolated and if the loads are high soil BC is low, then you can provide strip foundation. If the soil BC is very low, then you should provide raft foundation. for the water proofing you need a good material like 2 component polymer based solution or crystalline based material consult with an expert. i worked for 2 months in a water proofing company in DHA karachi. You need 4 KSI and 60 grade steel bar. Steel bars detailing are based on loads and soil backfill dead load.
