Dear All, I have to design a steel structure supporting steel deck slab. My question is that after the design of structural members like beams and columns, how i have to do the design for shear studs. What forces i can take out of my beams to apply the design checks of studs. Secondly the reinforcement of steel deck slab and type of deck is based upon what criteria. How to select the thickness of deck slab profiles, their shape and spacing between the members to support the slab. All my steel structure has to be fire rated. so how to consider this in design. is there any extra loading i have to take for that or no. As i have the the process of fire rating for steel , some extra layers of foam concrete and other related materials are added to steel. so how to consider this in design. Thanks,
