Assalaam o Alliakum Everyone, How I would apply line loads to the edges of balcony slab in ETABs model without any beams? Can I provide null beam as described in this method When I did this all my null beam failed in design. Is it ok to proceed in SAFE with these failing beams. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear sir/madam I am having problems defining frame loads in ETABS. I have modeled my Line Loads (partition load) with Nule frame and assigned frame loads in those nul frames. The problem is that when I run Modal Analyses I am having huge values because the joints on nul frames seem to be part of structures and they can be seen as moving around in Modal animation. Any help...? Many thanks in advance

I'm designing a flat slab structure with perimeter cladding that is to be anchored to the edges of the slab. The external cladding has a total weight per meter run of 5 KN/m. How can I apply this load to the slab edges so as to model the true behavior of the slab under loading in order to get accurate results from the analysis?
