Hello everyone, Can someone assist me to understand why the middle column has no moment transferred from the middle beam in the picture. The connections are all fixed. I expect no moment in the global X direction since they cancel out but why no moments in the Y direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assalamualikum, I have analyzed a Beam Column Frame. All beam(9"x 24") and column(12"12) are in section. All columns are 20' spaced from each other. I imposed Super Dead Load 2.15 k/lf Live Load 2.65 k/lf In Moment 3-3, For typical load combination ( like 1.2 DL+1.6 LL) why positive bending moment changes due to its story height (marked in red circle) though all story beams are equally loaded. Can anyone tell me the reason? Thanks in advance.

Assalamualaikum to all I analysed a two story concrete Building in ETABS. After analysis the positive bending moment is +15.80 kip-ft and Negative B.M is -19.99 kip-ft when i design the building frame, ETABS calculate less positive B.M +9.99 kip-ft and negative B.M is -19.99 kip-ft I can't understand why ETABS calculate less positive bending moment in designing? Please help me. Thanks in advance. Screenshot are given here.

hi everyone, have anyone got a similar problem like below? I've modeling a concrete buulding with slab as membrane the frame I've modeling per part, but the bending moment still like 1 long beam with 2 end support Thanks

Assalamualaikum SE pakistan in general placement of rebar, i always see that the rebars set on the same spacing. These are 2 columns they have the same ratio of reinforcement, same dimentions, but the placement of rebar about 2 axis the A one has larger d than the B one and according to calculation its obvious that the A one gives the larger moment resistance(M3) , which one give the best overall resistance i mean not only the moment resistance but to overall ? the A one or B one? Regards
