Hello Everyone, You might have seen a lot of buzz on social media about Pakistan Engineering Council Elections 2018. It is great that candidates are coming forward with manifestos and idea to bring PEC up to speed. I am writing this post to highlight that please make sure that you vote in these elections and do spend some time doing little research on the person you want to vote. Chairman PEC is a very prestigious position and if we can get the right person in, a lot can be changed for current and prospect engineers. What do you say? Thanks.

A two hour session will be held in the Wah campus of CIIT. The attendees will receive a certificate which can be helpful for engineers in matters of PEC-registration. The speaker will be discussing the topic of performance-based design and evaluation of tall buildings. It is good opportunity for structural engineers to equip themselves with recent advancements regarding the structural analysis and design of tall buildings. The speaker, Dr. NAVEED ANWAR, who is executive director at AIT Solutions, is not only a Structural engineer, but also has been actively involved in software-development of CSI products such as ETABS, SAP2000 and CsiCol. Hello guys i have two questions 1) Does PEC recognize 1 yr of uk masters (Msc structural engineering ...taught program) 2) what are the requirements ' which make an engineer eligible to open and register his own design firm..

I had heard that many firms are offering the money about selling PEC number my question is,is it legal?

Dear colleagues, Polling for Elections of PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) Governing Body for the Term 2015-18 are being held on 14th of June 2015 (day after tomorrow). Since the PEC is the controlling authority for all professional matters of engineers in Pakistan, it is certainly necessary that the people voted for running this organisation for the next few years, should have highest engineering degrees and vast professional experience. However, in addition, it is more important that they must be honest, have real urge and proven reputation of promoting engineering as a profession and being real practitioners of merit (in true sense) at each level within their areas of responsibilities. If we could select the candidates, having above mentioned qualities, it would certainly lead towards a better future for not only professional engineers but also for the Pakistan itself. Let us make contribution towards betterment of our beloved country, by selecting those people only, who really want to and can strive to develop Pakistan for making it a better country. Regards.
