  1. Dear All, I am modeling the raft of 11 storey Commercial + Residential building. The Plan of raft is attached in Jpeg format. Problem is that in periphery where basement wall is located and in the locations where shear Walls are modeled soil pressure is exceeding 3 times the allowable soil bearing pressure. The exceeding pressure area is hardly 10 percent of the total raft area. The reactions are even more in center of the raft but pressure is more in periphery. I am unable to understand this behavior. Kindly advise. Pressure Diagram is also attached in jpeg, yellow and red areas are the one where pressure is exceeding. Regards, Ahsan Ali
